NOELLE VÅNDERSØL
Purposeful Travel | Interviews Eco Swaps | Volunteering
Exploring a more eco-conscious world - without guilt or perfectionism.
I travel, investigate, interview, volunteer, test alternatives, and meet the people building better solutions for how we live, travel, shop, and consume.
Sustainability needs a new narrative.
We don't need more shame or perfectionism. We need honesty, curiosity, and better options. I dig into the stories behind the products, places, and people shaping a more conscious world - so we can all make informed choices that actually make sense in real life.
Exploring how to better live, travel, and consume more eco-consciously in a society built around over-consumerism.
MY MISSION
Have you ever mentioned one little eco swap—like using a metal straw—and immediately heard:
“Well, what about the gas you use in your car?”
“What about the plastic cup?”
“But you still buy ___…”
And guilt you about making one better choice suddenly means you’re expected to live in a cave, grow your own food, and never touch plastic again?!
That’s the narrative I’m changing.
I don’t expect you to live towards a more eco-conscious life, but only to a caveman extent.
Through travel, conversations, interviews, swaps, and firsthand experiences, I’m exploring what a more eco-conscious society can actually look like—without the perfectionist criticism.
I’m questioning greenwashing, overconsumption, waste, and the way we travel and consume, while finding the people, businesses, and ideas creating real solutions.
Because sustainability also means sustaining the economy. There are people behind all of this, too.
There are local businesses to support. There are jobs and livelihoods. There are economies and communities that depend on the way we live, travel, shop, and consume. I believe progress means figuring out how we can do those things better, not pretending we can stop doing them altogether.
And I’m not pretending I’m perfect either. I’ve been a business owner, but sustainability was always my passion…and I’ve definitely bought crap I don’t need on Amazon.
That’s the point.
This isn’t about doing everything perfectly. It’s about becoming more aware, questioning what we’ve normalized, and making better choices where we can.
For the planet. For people. For progress.
Let’s find out together. 🌎
Who’s Noelle?
Hi, I’m Noelle Våndersøl.
My mission isn’t just about exploring new destinations and being eco-friendly; it’s about connecting deeply with the people I meet along the way. I’m on a mission to embrace the world in the most respectful and intentional way as possible. Honoring cultures with respect, travel sustainably, and seek out exciting and soulful experiences that inspire human connection, personal growth, and global awareness.
From eco-friendly escapes to meeting 17 strangers in Amsterdam also solo traveling, I am sharing my journeys to inspire others to do the same.
Through my lens, I hope to inspire others to explore the world in a meaningful way—one that nurtures the planet and celebrate the vibrant cultures and communities that make it so extraordinary, while gaining what’s been lost…..human connection.
Let’s embark on this journey together.
